Screen Play by: Landis G. Reed II 19.09.09 (2007-2009) Title: "Setting here waiting for my real life to begin" a.k.a. "Alex" (Alexandria or Алехсандря). Theme song: same. (heard on Scrubs) Outline: This is about a guy [NAME] who has pretty much given up on once again rebuilding his life.. He's been knocked down one too many times. Every Thing hinges on his asking God to break one of his own rules (God's not the Guys). Give to me first and I promise I'll make you proud and Give, give, give. the Guy wants God to give him the MegaMillions Lottery [MM] (God's already shown the Guy the rules via a TV show, Pastor Malisa Scott and 2 very nice young men who stop by with their Bibles from time to time (Jehovah's Witnesses) otherwise he's not sure what the hell is going to happen with the rest of his life. Routine: Feed his dog, make dinner, eat dinner, smoke cigaretts, let his dog out "to go", walk to the store and get cigaretts and his MM Lottery ticket. He used to drink heavily.. Lots. No a mean drunk, but a functional one. Was able to do anything while drinking.. Although he found out that the cops don't like you driving while drunk.. He's accepted God and God has been good to him. Saveing his ass many times, but now he is questioning what in the hell God has been saving him for. He's thinking that the miricales, no matter how big or small would have better served some little kid, a baby, a mother, someone's loving Grandma or even a bride to be, anyone who still had a life ahead of them. Anyone other than him. He just can't figure out why God keeps saveing him. Even his mother used to say "god sure does like you, you have always had 9 lives". Every time he thinks it just can't get any worse,,,, got ya... God gives him just enough good (money, time, food etc) to make it a bit longer. It's like a guy told me once (a guy I worked with at Paradym Computers, finnaly remembered, Scott), "that's a nice golf shot".. What do you mean? You always hit at least one realy good shot near the end of the day, as if the game is sucking you along.. no matter how bad a round was, because of the good "golf shot", you'll be back. So,,, He's sitting there "waiting" on God to let him know what's next. Why do you keep saving me?, he asks. Why??? While he's waiting on God, he Day Dreams of what that life might be. Most Every Day Dream [DD] is about this girl Alex (Alexa, Alexia, Alexiya, алекс). (she's from Ukraine?). (every once in a while a brunette sneeks in, but God said...) Every once in a while we go back to seeing what he really sees. TV, computer, walks with his best friend, his dog to corner store for ciggaretts and lottery tickes etc.. The DD's are of pretty much the same girl, Alex in different senarios consisting of meeting her (on his own or by way of interduction, her daughter Baby, etc.) At times she's a friend of a friend, a beautiful woman he sees and she sees him, but are affraid to speak to each other (hence the intorductions being needed). Some times she is "poor", rich, meak-mild, strong and bitchy, but always Ukrainian (maybe St. Peterberg, Russia or Riga, Latvia). There are other girls he meets, including a red head (oh yah, Baby is really this Ukrainian orphane he saw years ago on the internet with curly strawberry-blonde hair he Can Not get out of his head) Baby is the reason he tought himself Russian/Ukrainian (there's not much Ukrainian study stuff out there).. He always thought he would be rich again and he would go to Kiev and help the orpahages as there are something like 9 out of 10 children born to unwed mothers there and they end up in orphanages and even worse, kicked out between the ages of 13 and 16 to fend for themselves. Hence the porn and prostitution problem in Eastern Europe. They (he and Alex) have both been hurt and are affraid of people (relationships). They avoid them. Trust, just too little of it in the world. Oh, yah. Alex is very small. 5'4" at the very most. Very thin, but fit with small breast, hips and thin wonderful legs. She has beautful blue eyes and again, light hair (blonde or redish) most of the time (most versions) she has some freckles on her nose. He believes Alex is "the one".. He is looking for "the one, the only'. He says he'd "rather have no one, than the wrong one, ,, Again. He has a saying about Alex, "I don't know if I'm supposed to go to Kiev and she'll be standing there, on Independence Square holding a sign that reads "NAME, here I am" or what..." This that happen: They like to dance when they first meet. [music: Sertab's Here I am.. Ani Lorak ? (ukrainian), ] There is another concistant character.. Mia, a brown female "driver / bodygaurd" who is quite beautiful and her 4yr old daughter Milla (he calls Me [Mi]). Mia and the Guy talk about Every Thing and have talked about being together, but remember the discription of Alex from God and shel (mia) believes she is only attracted to younger stocky mustle men. the Guy is not interested in work out every day so they are not to be. Mia is "the One" person he can trust and count on, No matter what. She {we believe, never marries. she's been heard saying, "I'm screwed, how am I to find a guy who will treat me at least as good as my employer?"). Sometimes Ms. Lili (Lilly), Mia's mother Mrs. Lillian Johnson [Ms Lili], who ends up inviting herself to stay at the guys house and run it.. She takes over running his house, shopping, meal planning, he buys her a car (the grochery getter), puts hundred doller bills (10 at a time) in the kitchen drawer (just incase she need to run up for a "loaf of bread", so she doesn't have to "charge it" winke, winke.. It's her "allowence". Ms. Lili and the guy act as if they don't like each other, but.... as I said above, they seem to look out for each other and have ea others backs. [Mia looks like: Jadda Pinckett(?) or Thandie Newton (All Muscle); Ms Lili looks like: Wil from "fresh prince", the lady who plays his mother (hence the elbowing he gives her over the name "Ms Lili". he once explained it while laughing, this image of a large black woman, Aunt Jamima, in the kit, apperin, head scarf,, Ms. Lili will you make me a samich, please,,, LOL. See the joke is she is small and even younger, if only a year or two, than him.); Mi looks like Kelly's little girl from "the Game" on BET (2009).] The Girl [Alex]: Light Hair (this is per God) Light Eyes (again God) She is from Kiev, Ukraine (maybe God, maybe him) This is all he knows about her, except that in more of the DD's she has a beautiful little daughter he calls Babie (her real name is Anya Marie (Аня Марие), his favorit name in the whole world, but does not know why. God again? Sister is Lena or Laura. Best friend is Kelly (looks like Kelly Rob (Lauren Sivan from FNC (2009)) and the second (cheer leader) senarias Alex.. good luck figuring that one out.) opening seen: A guy setting in a chair with view close to head over his shoulder viewing what he sees. (the song 'waiting for my real life to begin is playing). What he sees: His smoking room (garage with tv, computer, Stuff, etc..) He is smoking. Has his feet up on an old ottaman, no shoes/sockes. Flash to a day dream [DD] (fade) ***** Senarios: ****** Senario 01: [Alex the quiet, shy, smart girl who everyone thinks is a "bitch" because she's waiting for her one and only and has no time for guys who just want "in her panties". She is the sweatest cutes girl around the Guy and they always have fun together.] (A ladies lady"). Girl [Alex] is at a "woman's shelter". She is not a resident (but he thinks she is and build a senario around that assumption), but the sister of a volunteer who was out shopping w/ her sister when the sister (lena, laura, ) was called as something has gone wrong at the shelter and the director is not getting anywhere with the state. Lena and Mia get together to descuse what each has said about the other.. He's in love with me.. He's going to marrie me.... She's prefect, She's the one.. etc. They (LM) conspire with his sister to get them together at a backyard party at Lena's house that Saturday. the Guy walk straight to Alex as if no one else existed. He says: "you don't live there do you?.." No, she replys. That's great, my heart was hurting. Hi, I'm NAME.. Hi NAME, I'm Alex. Hi Alex, [pause], you look like an Alex. [music: Анї Лорак, Don't talk about love] [turns to Mia] "you're fired" and his sister, you, I don't know, but I'm sure I mad at you too. [asks Mia] Where is my girl (Mi).. [Mia] Over there ( Mi is playing with "Baby" on the trampalean).. the Guy accuses himself and says "accusse me, I'm going to go hang out with people my own age" and head towards the girls. the Guy turns around as he leave the group of women and says to Alex. "вы самая красивейшая девушка я всегда видел. Поистине" [he has been teaching himself Ukrainian, remember] ("you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Truely"). the Guy pauses as if to ask Alex 'did I say that right'. Alex without him actually saying anything says "Да" (yes). [icecream truck music... swap music and sceen from them walking to truck to talking. [music: Sertab's Here I am...]] Senario 02: He, Mia and Mi go to the south of France to look at a yacht to buy as their home. They run into a guy (Eric) they had met while visiting his sister in Texas, USA. The guy is there with his fience' and her daughter, to his dismay. the Guy and Alex fall for each other (at first sight, as usual) and the Guy asks Alex and Baby to join them sight seeing around town while Eric from Texas and his fience' spend some time alone. See the Guy is a good guy. People think his is a Dick.. He is if you step on his toes or hurt someone he cares about. Senario 03: [Alex the lively, "cheer leader" type. Beautiful, but more "Maxum" magazine] The first Saturday that the Guy is in Texas [TX], he takes a group of guys, some he knows from MI as they've all moved to TX to go to work for Dell Computers. After golf they have been invited to a backyard party where some of the wives, the Guys sister, Mia and Mi are alread at. The girls at the party are curriuse about this new Guy and are "fighting' over who will talk to him first meanwhile interigating his sister and Mia about him. Sometimes he gets in a fight while defending Alex's hounor as one or more of the guys attending are saying things about her (Alex) like she's a gold digger, stuck up bitch, thinks she's better than everyone else or forget her, she'll take more than you have (money).. He asks them to stop and appologize to her. they want to know what he's going to do about it ("or what old man" (the Guy is much older than Alex (20 yrs)). the Guy says he's going to drop the guy with the mouth. (the Guy has a reputation for not taking any shit and has been known to "take out' upto 7 guys at a time.). the Guy, the hero defends Alex's honor. Closing Sceen: the Guy is saying "good bye", on the phone to (implyed) Mi (all grown up with her own family). [music: you had a bad day (? by Danial Powter?).] Shot on the back of a yacht (his dream house), sailing into the sunset. [camera] Again from over his shoulder. As she [Mi] says good by, instead of haning up, we see his hand/arm that's holding the phone fall to his side and drop the phone on the deck. A female hand/arm [older, brown] reaches down and picks up the phone from the deck, next to his leg and chair and says, "he says good bye, he loves you, you know". She [Mia?? maybe?] hangs up the phone. [camera sweeps around and up the show the man hunched in a deck chair and the woman on the back deck of the boat [can not see who either are] and pulls away as the yacht "sails off into the sunset". [the assumption is that the female is his long time "employee" and loyal friend Mia] [implied: he sat around a little toooo long for his "real life to begin" and having been waiting for "the one", Alex, missed that Mia was there for him the Whole time.] (day late, dollar short) [add to above: he could be just dreaming on his death bed, having accomplished nothing. And now, even he know he missed the boat, even in his own dreams.] [music: sitting here waiting for my real life to begin.....] the End.
